Imagine

Posted on Jan 22nd, 2006 by :franc : Rubyist :franc
Imagine Imagine there's no heaven,
It's easy if you try,
No hell below us,
Above us only sky,
Imagine all the people living for today...

Imagine there's no countries,
it isnt hard to do,
Nothing to kill or die for,
No religion too,
Imagine all the people living life in peace...

Imagine no possesions,
I wonder if you can,
No need for greed or hunger,
A brotherhood of man,
Imagine all the people Sharing all the world...

You may say Im a dreamer,
but Im not the only one,
I hope some day you'll join us,
And the world will live as one.

I think John would've been right at home here at Zaadz.
Infact if he was still alive he would probably have gotten something similar online way before the boom.

John Lennon was a visionary who is not credited enough for the impact he has had on the way we see the world today. Today it is a lot easier for us at zaadz to say "we want to change the world" because of the foundation that visionaries like Lennon has laid in the global consiousness.

Lennon died long before the internet was born and the term 'global village' was coined.
In the twentyfirst century the world is a lot smaller than it was at the end of the seventies. It is now easier than ever before to change the world for the better.

John died at the start of the 80's - the world was shocked into wearing tight white pants and shoulder pads and world music went through ten years of depression - but his vision of a peacefull, responsible world lives on.

We can sow the seeds of responsibility in the conscience of humanity.

We can improve the quality of life for billions of people.

You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one...

John Lennon was the man. I didn’t even realize how profound that song was until you can actually read the lyrics.

Amazing.

Another thing…

I caught your little jab at 80’s music buddy. Don’t forget, if it wasn’t for those crazy guys in tight white pants and shoulder pads breaking out the Synthesizers and gettin’ down, we wouldn’t have a lot of the genres that dominate music today!

Respect Tears for Fears.

it’s a discussion we can have while we’re stroling the beach at Zaadzresort Phuket in a couple of years..

You’re right, I’ll save it for ZaadzResort Mombasa. BTW, check out http://vedana.zaadz.com/blog for some cool suggestions.

Yes! I absolutely agree with you. I always have a habit of counting all my failures that I don’t see the success I’ve reap all along the journey of life….and I do have a lot of successes!

Thanks for your tips. It is great.

Yo Francois. First, watch out for the Obinator. :)

That song is on my official Zaadz soundtrack that I’m about ready to go listen to at the gym.

Great stuff…

I had a friend once who “accidentally” began the song with, “Imagine we’re in heaven.”  I’m pretty sure Lennon wouldn’t mind since both versions lead us to the idea that this is it.  There are no dress rehearsals.  It’s time for us to change our perspectives, our hearts, and our world.  Thanks for this post.  Let’s keep dreaming (and changing!).

John Lennon, Thank you. francois, thank you. I am sorry to admit..I do not know much about John Lennon except that he was part of the Beatles in the 60s.  His movement of peace is beautiful and we can most definately get a taste of its flavours in this song you presented.
