this is a tough one. i'm sure it depends on the culture and area of where i would be living.
I assume i'd be living where my ancesters were living, which is even a toucher question.
A thousand years ago my ancesters were spread out all over the world.

Some of them, my Khoi ancestry, would've lived near where I am living now. They would've been mainly hunter-gatherers at the time and would've also been herders and farmers. My days would consist of either hunting, fishing or sitting and smoking. The boys would've been herding the goats and cattle, the women would've been tending the fields. It would've been a sweet life no-doubt.

Others, my european ancestry, would've been small farmers or artizans in rural towns or small cities. life would've been hard. in this environment i believe i would probably have become a priest or a monk and spend my time searching for truth.

I think i have what it would've taken to become a pretty powerful medieval clergyman.

I also have ancesters from malaysia, indonesia, arabia - all over the world. i'm not familiar with what life would've been like a thousand years ago to most of these.
